Dulcita 04:08
[Intro: Valle] Now uhhh… I get my inner peace, from my inner beat So if you feeling me let’s go to Venice beach Got trees for remedy, give me serenity I hope you really see just who I really be cuz [Verse 1: Valle] Who you mean to be ain’t exactly what’s perceived Some people think that I am sweet Some people think that I’m a creep Cuz my thoughts ponder deep and it’s hard to be discreet And I be getting’ cold feet sometimes when I have to speak see We could maybe be sort of like a fantasy We can love sexually and not for eternity But if you feeling me then I hope it’s naturally So we that can be embracin’ all the places we can take it Cuz only time will tell, and I hope it tells well Lets go play up in the waves while we catch the next swell Summer comes and goes but I love how it feels I wish that I could take time and just hold time still Sometimes, the good times, I hope they never end So lets toast up in the air when we with the best of friends The ones that love us and the ones that don’t pretend Because even when the fall comes I’m wondering when summer’s next [Chorus: Cesar Portillo & Ambiguous Culture] You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) [Verse 2: Valle] Summer time weather got me craving cold brew Lets got to my place straight for the rendezvous We could sip tequila and be waking with a crazy story As long as I ain’t driving drunk fuck it lets just keep it pourin’ My engine roarin’, so lets go out exploring shit Lets get reacquainted I forget just what yo’ name is Horrible with naming but I never forget faces And I’m only being honest but its too much fucking conscious And a whole lotta nonsense but I’m seeing why your cautious And in a world of double standards I could see why though You could be self-entitled It do not make it right though I hope you be the type though To know so just what ya like so [Chorus: Cesar Portillo & Ambiguous Culture] You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) You are my sweet thing (Good times all right, good times all right now) [Outro: Valle] Uhhh…Check it So play that Cumbia, Bachata, Sonora Dinamita Shut it down with some soul, shit play Aretha I like tangents and tandems and shit that’s hella Random I like dancin’ and prancin’ while I be smokin’ fat ones Hands up like ransom! When you come into my show On the mic I just foam cuz I'm on the mic and raving Coming in like I’m M80, no it’s not no grits and gravy Not no slim shady or either a Patrick Swayze But I be breaking point so apologies if I annoy I be straight actin’ split personality, you mad at me? Cuz I’m doing this shit so admirably I’m just another one that’s refusing to be a casualty

[Intro: Valle] Now here today Just another kid from South Central LA At the end of the day I’m just tryna get paid Just so I can be made while my conscious gets laid WHAT THE FUCK DID I SAY?! [Verse 1: Valle] I’m like a fly in molasses when I’m sitting in traffic To myself, I be asking, ‘is it worth all this madness’ Tryna hit a lick and come up by the time I see the sun up Just so I can have a 1up make me feel like something was won Vanity or calamity, cuz people still going to be mad at me It be happening naturally so I’m doing it casually Put my trust in the Universe Watch me blossom like junipers, middle fingers to Lucifer Cuz I'm coming like Jupiter like I was sent from space Like the Sayan race, on days I’m out of place Because my thought keep on racing cuz I be contemplating ‘If I just steal for the taking’ Saying fuck rap racing cuz [Pre-Chorus: Valle & Aster Mari] When it comes to that work know I’m down to roll (Down to roll) When it comes to the tree shit I’m down to blow (Down to blow) One thing that you should know What glitters ain’t gold better reap what you sow Tell that to someone broke cuz they wouldn’t even know Before I hit the door I'm letting you know (Im just letting you know) Fuck yo judgments and fuck yo assumptions The beat keeps bumping let get into something [Chorus: Aste Mari] This town’s gunna knock your ass on the ground and This town’s gunna leave you there down and out It’s a beautiful thing what you can be In this town In this town In this town In this town [Verse 3: Valle] I want money and honey Shit I want people to love me And I don’t wanna keep running but if I have to go Im taking blunts to my dome, 3-2 I’m in my zone Im working down to the bone cuz that’s the product of the story Of an LA minority yelling ‘Fuck authority’ This world is ours im talking Earth not Mars because They place bars in more than prison cells to live in cells cuz you know When the price be right for you to live a good life but you got no education Different dollars you obtaining something different that you chasing But dammit oh well if I gotta see blue just for me to be true Then fuck it I’ll pay dues [Pre-Chorus: Valle & Aster Mari] When it comes to that work know I’m down to roll (Down to roll) When it comes to the tree shit I’m down to blow (Down to blow) One thing that you should know What glitters ain’t gold better ‘reap what you sow’ Tell that to someone broke cuz they wouldn’t even know Before I hit the door im letting you know (Im just letting you know) Fuck yo judgments and fuck yo assumptions The beat keeps bumping let get into something [Chorus: Aste Mari] This town’s gunna knock your ass on the ground and This town’s gunna leave you there down and out It’s a beautiful thing what you can be In this town In this town In this town In this town

You perfect model citizen, you can catch my discipline I be fucking fidgeting as my plot keeps on thickening With metaphors and synonyms I be procreating orchestrating I be elevated And I ain’t getting tired cuz I’m refusing to be caged in I’m the raisin in the sun but my story’s far from done Because I’m speaking with my tongue And that’s bigger than any gun To that bullet make you go hush? Fuck that no We ain’t having that Tell me brody DJ M-O we bought to bring it back!

about

Ambiguous Culture was started in South Central Los Angeles by brothers Piano Black & Valle. After living in the suburbs of Arcadia for 4 years they decided to move back to their hometown of South Central to create music inspired by their experiences and their roots. After moving to West Adams District they got re-aquanted with LA Bassist, Drew on the bass, through LA musician Cesar Portillo aka Inner City Jazz and began putting together a band. Child hood friend (and neighbor) Dj B-Cryptik, who also produces EDM, soon hoped on board with Ambiguous Culture. After several craigslist ads and try-outs Los Angeles drummer Brendan beat guy became a part of the band providing the rhythm for the band.

This is the first project released by Ambiguous Culture as a group and its a good introduction for what is to come in the future. All tracks were produced by Piano Black with additional production from LA producer/DJ Sample. Cesar Portillo provided vocals as well as Aste Mari - LA artist. This EP combines sounds from 90s hiphop to modern electric production accompanied with live instrumentation. Follow Ambiguousculture on Facebook, Instagram, and Soundcloud for future releases its only up from here!
